Discussion Board Rules

Important Note: Moderating forums can take more time than we have, so this will be a trial-run to see if users can maintain respectful, appropriate conversation without requiring excessive moderation. Because of this, the administration reserves the right to remove these forums at any time, which may occur if these forums are misused by members.

We want you to have fun and enjoy using Rainbow Christians.  To help keep the site safe and welcoming to everyone, please take a few minutes to read the rules and guidelines on this page. (These are in addition to our Terms of Service, which constitute a legal agreement between you and Rainbow Christians.)

Posting Etiquette

Each and every online community has its own guidelines for what is considered "polite." We recommend keeping the following guidelines in mind when posting on Rainbow Christians forums:

• Please do not use ALL CAPS.
• Keep your posts relevant to the stated topic of a thread. If you want to discuss something off-topic, start a new thread.
• This is not a chat room, so please be considerate and limit the number of times you post on the same thread each day. Conversations can be carried out in the chatroom.

Inappropriate Content

Because of the Terms of Use of this site, and the fact that this is an affirming site for LGBT Christians, do not post:

• profanity
• sexual innuendo
• pornographic materials/links
• anti-Christian comments
• anti-LGBT comments
• ex-gay materials/links
• personal information (addresses, phone numbers, etc.)

The site administrator will have final say in determining if a questionable post fits any of the above.


Moderation

If you see a message board post or thread that violates this policy or needs moderator attention, please report them. We are not able to read every post, so we rely on you to let us know about any problems.

Depending on the severity of the offense, moderators may edit or remove content posted by users. These decisions are made at the discretion of the moderating team in order to enforce Rainbow Christians’ Terms of Service and maintain a safe and welcoming site for all users.


Respect

All interactions with other Rainbow Christians users, both public and private, should be respectful. Please use good judgment when communicating with other users privately or agreeing to meet anyone in person. Rainbow Christians does not accept any liability for the words or actions of individuals registered on this site. Just because they're on a Christian website doesn't mean they are Christians or will act in a Christ-like fashion, so be careful.

If you feel that another user is acting inappropriately toward you in public or private (rudeness, unwanted sexual advances, lobbying for anti-gay ministries, etc.), please alert the administration immediately.
