Being familiar with the subtle nuances and vibes of body language can help you ascertain whether a guy/gal is attracted to you, or better yet, draw him/her closer to you.
Studies have shown again and again that 90% of our communication is conveyed by our body language. Whether you are looking to attract a guy at a church event or your favorite local bar, what you do can speak louder than what you say.
Positive body language signs (part 1):
Eye contact
You’ve heard the saying, “Eyes are the heart of the soul.” Making good eye contact with a guy is an obvious signal of attraction. A guy who is attracted to you is likely to raise his eyebrows and eyelids upon first sight, and hold his gaze on you for a couple seconds. If you happen to be attracted to the guy, respond by making good eye contact with him for a second or two. Subsequently, look down (not away or to the side) and then give him another glance, this time with a gentle smile.
Smile
A smile conveys confidence, acceptance, and attraction. When a guy gives you a great smile, whether you’re attracted to him or not, it’s hard not give a great smile back. Smiles can be contagious, a clear sign of openness and a non-verbal invitation to flirt. Smiles that send the clearest and warmest signal to a guy tend to be symmetric (one-sided smiles can be perceived as smirks) and laugh lines inducing.
Posture
There are fewer things more attractive in a man than good posture. Having good posture not only minimizes strain on your muscles and joints, but can also make you look confident, poised, and athletic. When a guy sees someone he likes, he will typically fix his posture, whether consciously or not. Men will correct their posture by pulling in their stomachs slightly, dropping their shoulders back, keeping their back straight and chin up.
Arms
Arms can convey how open and receptive a guy is to interact with someone. By keeping your arms relaxed as possible at your sides or behind your back, you encourage guys to come forward and approach you. Crossing your arms in front of your chest can have the opposite effect.
