Hey, is 32 old? I mean, personally I am only 32 but feel like ive been through so much. I like to talk to people older than me, it gives me a perspective on things that people younger than me might not have. I mean, personally I think age does bring wisdom. I mean, what was it like for gay people in the 50's, 60s, 70s and 80s? I wasnt around then, so id like to hear it from some elders of my community. Also, I am a BM looking for a WM to basically be the man of his dreams. You have to be nice, loving, kind, respectful, and optimitistic. :). holyspirit9gifts@hotmail.com is my email.

Older persons have lived in the age before AIDS became known and endemic. Since there were no fatal incurable STDs, much more faith was required to believe that moderate sexual promiscuity (such as "friends with benefits") was sin. There was a historically unusual and brief moratorium of God's natural enforcement of His Laws.

I was Born Again in college, into a true first-century type fellowship, totally free of the ornate and pompous trappings (graven images?, idols?) of Organized Religion. Only that freedom from organized religion's atmosphere made it possible for me to receive Christ; as I then already knew how much evil has been committed in the name of organized religion (including Christianity.) The excellent fellowship there kept sin, esp. sex sin, in check.

The trouble was, all that vanished instantly upon graduation. This, for me, coincided exactly with DiscoMania and "Saturday Night Fever", which was the "supernova" of the so-called Sexual Revolution. Add to that Anita Bryant's anti-gay crusade, which everyone was talking about, (augmented by the fact it was local). This all combined to create a near "Perfect Storm" of sexual passion, so searingly hot that it was indeed a baptism of fire. (And the song that so perfectly epitomizes this fiery immersion, "Disco Inferno" was oh-so popular!)

I knew this sexual freedom would not last long, and my prediction of the demise of the Sexual Revolution was fulfilled just three years later, with the onset of AIDS. Nowadays, the Biblical concept of "sexual purity" no longer seems to be so silly or foolish any more. Those who are young today never knew a time when a brief enforcement moratorium of God's sexual Law made sexual temptation so much more enticing than it is now, that God's Law enforcement has been re-instated.
