Hello,

I am a soldier currently in Iraq, days are long here and it is hard at times to keep a Christian attitude, basically no days off and long hours. This is my job proud to be here, while here I am in the porcess of renewng my faith and relationship with God. I ask for prayer for Gods Presense, strenght, help and peace. I am reading Purpose driven life and one of the things it talks about is doing everything for God, our daily tasks as an act of worship. I think there is allot to be gained from that realization. Sorry if im ranting..im just tired...

Philly I shall remember you in my prayers. I find that Psalms help in times of loneliness and when away from home and loved ones. Hang in there!

Hi Philly. God has placed you on my heart. I'm not certain why your situation resonates so strongly with me. Perhaps it is because I too served in the Army as a gay soldier and did a tour in the Gulf. Perhaps it is the process of spiritual renewal that is taking place in both our lives right now that has connected us through the spirit. I will be praying for you daily. May God grant you His peace that passes all understanding and may He keep you safe from harm. Your brother in Christ, Dave

Philly, I will definitely remember you in my prayers. I think we so often do not fully appreciate the sacrifce and hard work soldiers do for our country & families. It has been a long & tough road in iraq for our soldiers, but they have served so well & admirably in a extremely difficult situation. There have been several family members who have served in the military & I have seen what stress there can be at times. I pray that you feel God's presence every day & you will soon be back home.

hae phil, i greet you with the love of our Lord, am new on this site, but i have seen your prayer request and indeed i will consider you. my heart has been moved with empathy more so because am a keen follower of the ongoing in the middle east. i understand how difficult it is but the grace of our lord Jesus christ will see you through.

am always encouraged by the words of Francis De Sales; the everlasting father who cares for you today will take care of you tommorrow and everyday, He will either shield you from suffering, or He will give you strength to bear it. Be at peace and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations.
