All you need is Love

it took a long long time
to understand what love was

so many said they loved me
only a few meant it

    sometimes it was hard to understand
    what love really was and who really cared

it took a long long time
to understand who I really was

so many said they loved me
even my grandparents said so

love is not hurting it is kind
love does not take it gives freely

no one can take away those I love
and I will never stop loving those that love me

so many said they loved me

AWE..... I liked it because it I feel as I know a small piece of you now and that is what a personal poem is all about... you did well and I like it...

I also like that you didn't add rhyming words to get your focus across. Not all poetry has to rhyme...
