I must say at the first that I am a cannabis user and proud of it...

Below is one of the main scriptures used as an argument against the use of cannabis.

“Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, (pharmakia[-eia] - ((Eng., “pharmacy,” etc.) primarily signified “the use of medicine, drugs, spells;” then, “poisoning;” then, “sorcery,) nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”
—Rev 9:21

The thing is... the word Pharmakia covers all drugs doesn't it? From caffeine to heroin, pain killers to skunk???

It seems to me that our chosen leaders have decided which drugs to make legal or illegal. Multi national pharmacy companies make billions of dollars selling there legal drugs.

Come on...

Cannabis should be legalized world wideLaughing

I would add to the above, that didn't God create every herb yeilding seed and say that was good?

At the end of the day the reason it's illegal is because you can easily grow it at home and it isn't taxable.

Plus the government doesn't want a free thinking society.

Alcohol causes so much trouble and yet this drug is legal. You wouldn't find stoners rioting at a football match.

I could go on, but I won't.

would be good to hear other opinions on the matter...

I don't have any problem with the legalization of cannabis – in fact, I can think of many good libertarian-type arguments for it ... although such arguments have little to do with the Faith as such. In other words, I think Christians can legitimately disagree on the question.

i must say that i find cannabis less dangerous than alcohol even if when trying it for a couple of times i felt greatly paranoid, but like all chemicals it has a great risk to be abused especially by addictive personalities ,and since i am a high schol teacher i can tell very well about the prolongued use effects of cannabis on my students which are a real disaster.i ten to think that our body ,being the temple of the holy spirit and holy itself, should be kept as pure and healthy as possible,so i won't be a bigot and apply to cannabis the target of dangerous drug but will stress again on the fact that it may be used once in a while for recreational purpose without any danger and only by people who have a good command of themselves.peace to all andrew

I believe the age of first use is important.  Since most of the crisis in your life occur in the first 25 years of your life one must be aware of how any crutch can influence you at this critical time.

Physiologically your body is growing until you are 21 to 25..liver is maturing, kidneys, bones, etc...we do not know how chemicals that are not normal to the body affect your growing body.

Chemically we do not about all the 90 or so chemicals in the burning leaves of marijuana...quality of life to me is important...

Alcohol chemically is known.  There are no surprise chemicals in beer. or whiskey or rye...

The Bible continues to talk against abuse, abuse of the body and abuse of others...

If you over 25 years of age, not driving a vehicle, not operating on a patient, not shooting a gun, not running a nuclear power plant, etc.. can go a month without taking it...( not addicted to it)...then go ahead...take it once a week...
