Description:

A Christian music and arts festival - established in 1973 and first held in 1974, Greenbelt festival is in its 33rd year, and, at the last festival, attracted around 19,000 festival-goers.

Greenbelt is an all-age festival, open to everyone.
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult (18yrs +)

OuterSpace is a group for LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered) Christians at Greenbelt. They are committed to the church and to helping everyone find their way in the church, no matter what their background.

OuterSpace tries to look beyond the dry intellectual debates that surround the whole area of gender and sexual orientation, and to focus instead on hearing the stories of real people's faith, in order to understand the different journeys that LGBT Christians are on.

OuterSpace believes that it is by humanising the debates, by sharing experiences and by engaging in constructive dialogue that the church, in all its forms, can begin to reflect the reality of the world around it, and start to make a positive difference in people's lives - both within and outside the church.

At Greenbelt this year, OuterSpace will be hosting interviews, question and answer sessions, times of reflection and times of worship, which are suitable for anyone wanting to understand more of what it means to be an LGBT Christian today.

Brain Grenade Entertainment announces the release of D.a. Thompson’s CD “Disclaimer” and Seattle Release Party on August 18th, 2009.

Seattle, WA, July 21st, 2009/BGE. Brain Grenade Entertainment (BGE) proudly announces the release date and CD Release Party for D.a. Thompson’s new extended play album titled “Disclaimer” on Tuesday, August 18th, 2009 at Galerias in Seattle, Washington.  The first single off of D.a. Thompson’s EP is entitled, "Just you and me."

Disclaimer is a piano driven pop/rock/funk extended play album with fun arrangements and relatable lyrics. The EP delivers memorable hooks with hints of such artists as Billy Joel, Tears For Fears, and Jason Mraz. Disclaimer was produced by Loren Weisman, mixed by Scott Ross and mastered by Mark Alan Miller in a total of 110 hours over 13 sessions in the month of June 2009. 25 percent of this EP’s sales are being donated to artists working with Brain Grenade Entertainment in the FSRP program.

D.a. Thompson, a Seattle Washington based writer, speaker, and musician is tackling some of the front burner issues of today through a unique and diverse worldview. D.a. is expanding restrained horizons by mind, mouth, and music. This is a Freedom Solutions Recording Plan (FSRP) album, meaning it was achieved using organizational recording methods developed by Loren Weisman.  The goal of FSRP recordings is to help artists successfully budget and plan the production process. The FSRP also keeps the artist in control and full ownership of their music and involves giving a percentage of profits to a charity in which the artist believes.

On Tuesday, August 18th, 2009 from 4pm – 10pm, Galerias in Seattle, WA will host the D.a. Thompson CD Release Party. An unprecedented 25 percent of Galerias’ sales will be donated to D.a. Thompson’s post production budget allowing him to take the steps to gain self sufficient, realistic success without losing excessive percentages or control of his works. Galerias is located at 611 Broadway East on Capitol Hill in Seattle, Washington.

United States, Lancaster, Muddy Run
Description:

The third annual Camp Out Lancaster event will be held on the weekend of July 16 -18, 2009.

CampOut Lancaster has become an annual camping event born to foster commnunity among those who consider themselves GLBT,etc Christians. Gay friendly straight friends of those GLBT persons attending are welcome and so are children. Pets are allowed however they must always be kept on a leash.

In 2007, the first Camp Out was held and 6 people camped. In 2008, 12 people camped. This year thus far there are 24 people planning on attending.

The event is held in southern Lancaster County PA at the Muddy Run Park. This year we will be touring Wheatland ( The home of President James Buchanan) Longwood Gardens, and the Brandywine River Art Museum(home to many Wyeth family paintings). We  will be having a cook out on Friday night. After the cook out, we will watch a movie and a documentary by GCN called Through My Eyes( about gay youth and their experience with the church). Saturday we will have a pizza bash and then an evening of worship around a campfire.

In addition to these structured activities, leisure time may be spent at many great local hiking spots along the Susquehanna River or boating in the lake.

This is a camping event however if you are not into camping and prefer just to hang out during the day with the group, the Peach Bottom Motor Inn is just 15 minutes away. It is a very clean place and the rates are very reasonable.

The cost of the event is 20.00 for the entire weekend. That covers your campsite, pavilion rental, the cook out and the pizza bash. It does not include breakfast at the snack bar or lunch on the road. It also does not include the admission to Wheatland, Longwood Gardens, or the Museum. Going on these excursions are not required. A cheaper itinerary will be made available for those not desiring to go on the excursions

For more information or if you plan on attending, please contact me at Campoutlancaster@aol.com

Hope to see you there!
