About us
Rainbow Christians™ is the web's premier devoted gay (LGBT) Christian personals website. This site emerged from the growing need for a place where gay Christians can meet, as most Christian personals sites do not accommodate LGBT Christians.

In too many places and churches a "gay Christian" is seen as some sort of contradiction, but we at Rainbow Christians™ have come to believe that there is a place for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities in Christ's Church.

Whether you are looking for a life partner, a Bible study partner, or a new friend, Rainbow Christians™ is the place for you. Thanks for helping to make Rainbow Christians™ the Net's #1 LGBT Christian Social Networking Site!

Meet the Founder:

Justin R. Cannon is the founder of Rainbow Christians and also Inclusive Orthodoxy, an affirming outreach ministry to LGBT Christians centered around his booklet The Bible, Christianity, and Homosexuality, which the Los Angeles Times describes as an illuminating...analysis that argues the Bible doesn't condemn faithful gay relationships (McGough, July 18, 2005). He is also the editor of Sanctified: An Anthology of Poetry by LGBT Christians

According to his ministry website, Inclusive Orthodoxy is the belief that the Church can and must be inclusive of lgbt individuals without sacrificing the Gospel and the Apostolic teachings of the Christian faith. His ministry affirms the divine inspiration of the Bible, the sacredness of Tradition, and affirms that there is a place within the full life and ministry of the Christian Church for faithful believers regardless of race, ethnicity, sex, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation, both those who are called to lifelong celibacy and those who are partnered.

Cannon's work has been featured in The Advocate, on The Michelangelo Signorile Show, in the New York Times, and even the French LGBT magazine Prf ("Ainsi Soient-Ils" Jan/Feb #12 Issue). In 2007, ABC News Sacramento affiliate, News 10, ran a feature on Rainbow Christians.

In 2006 Cannon was recognized as one of Out Magazine's Top 100 most influential gay people of the year and in November 2007, he was honored as one of Instinct Magazine's 2007 Leading Men of the Year for his activism in the gay community. He is currently pursuing priesthood priesthood in the Episcopal Church.
